Medi Assist reports strong FY25 growth with 28.5% profit surge

Medi Assist Healthcare Services Limited announced a 28.5 per cent year-on-year increase in profit after tax to ₹91.6 crore for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, according to a press release issued on Thursday. The healthcare benefits administrator’s operating revenue grew by 14 per cent to ₹723.3 crore.
The company’s total premium under management reached ₹21,108 crore, up 14.3 per cent from the previous year, with group premium growing 12.4 per cent and retail premium surging 29.4 per cent. Medi Assist expanded its market share in health insurance premium administration to 19.5 per cent, compared to 19 per cent in the previous year.
For the fourth quarter, Medi Assist reported total income of ₹196.6 crore, representing a 14.9 per cent year-on-year increase, while operating revenue rose 13.2 per cent to ₹188.9 crore. However, quarterly profit decreased by 15.9 per cent due to tax benefits received in the previous year’s comparable period.
The company has received in-principle approval from IRDAI to acquire Paramount Health Services & Insurance TPA Pvt. Ltd., which CEO Satish Gidugu said would strengthen Medi Assist’s pan-India presence.
Medi Assist highlighted technological achievements, including the processing of over 100,000 hospital discharges through its Raksha Prime platform and enabling approximately ₹400 crore in savings for insurers through enhanced fraud detection systems.
The company maintained a strong financial position with ₹312.2 crore in net cash and ₹552.2 crore in net worth as of March 31, 2025.
