A woman has hit out at budget all-inclusive holidays and says it does not make sense to go on them.

TikTok user @hettsjc says the unlimited booze and food is “not a vibe” as there is a litany of issues surrounding the all-inclusive stay, and it could work out cheaper to eat and drink elsewhere for a week.

Taking to the app and revealing her “unpopular opinion,” Hettie’s Holidays suggested some other options to the Brit favourite holiday, and warns those who are heading to an all-inclusive to avoid the buffet.

Describing the mood as an equivalent to a “conference,” the holidaymaker was left unimpressed with European all-inclusives but did concede some further afield could be worth your money.

She said: “Very unpopular opinion but I do not see the hype in these all-inclusive holidays.”

She continued: “For me a holiday is food, drink, a holiday. Why would I want to go every day to a buffet? What is it, a gala dinner? A conference? Why would I want to go up to a buffet every day and eat chicken nuggets and chips or some terrible version of the country’s local food.”

The TikTok user did concede that a la carte menus were sometimes on offer and that stays in places like Dubai or the Caribbean may offer better experiences, but Hettie has warned off the all-inclusive trips around Europe.

“What is the vibe?” she asked of the all-inclusive stay, adding: “You’re going to pay more to be all-inclusive, get all you can eat, but I don’t want to eat that. So, all you can eat of a load of s**t”.

She has since suggested taking your savings and heading elsewhere for a better meal where, even if you do not finish the food on your plate, the savings are clear to see. On top of that you can “get food you actually fancy at the time rather than eat the same old stuff every day.”

Travel worker Hettie caused quite the stir with her opinion on all-inclusive holidays but took to defending herself in the comments. She did agree that the all-inclusive style of holiday was certainly a win for families with children, but suggested most were heading there more for the booze than anything.

One user wrote: “Nah not true. I go all inclusive it’s a safety net incase anything happens you still have food and drink. We still go out, explore and eat out just not every night. You can still go out for a meal.”

Other TikTok comments mocked the “safety net increase” comment with one asking: “Safety net for what?” They replied: “Loads of things, if you run out of money, the weather, what if you got robbed, had an accident?”
